What's everyone planning to grow next year?
« on: December 17, 2008, 13:13 »
My list is supposed to be just basic stuff, but it's getting longer and longer . . . and longer . . .
Artichokes (globe)
Asparagus
Alfalfa
Broad, french, and runner beans
Kale :pukel: (for Mum)
Broccoli
Sprouts
Carrots
Cauliflower
Courgette
Cucumber
Garlic
Lettuce
Leeks
Onions
Potatoes
Shallots
Spring onions
Spinach
Sweetcorn
Tomatoes

And that's not including the different varieties . . .

or the fruit that I'm getting  . . .

or the fruit I've already got growing . . .

or the herbs and things that I want to grow if I've got enough space, time and energy left . . .

I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

This will be my first year - got my plot a few weeks ago, haven't even turned it over yet or really started planning - trying to read some books first before I make some schoolgirl errors!

I'd like to start off and attempt the following:

Onions
Potatoes
Carrots
Lettuce
Garlic
Some herbs
Greens/Cabbage
Sprouts

Am I being too ambitious? or not enough? It seems the plot is HUGE and I kind of feel I should fill it all??

Oh by the way what is PSB?
I'm a vegetable virgin! All advice offered very welcome!!
