Yes the lobes vary in colour dependent on the breed.
I once read that egg shell colour was the same as the lobe on each bird :?
Although I had a brown lobed bird that laid very pale eggies so not sure if it stands true

cos you'll get blue eggs??
My minorcas have big white ears and do lay lovely white eggs. I didn't even know chickens had earlobes before I got them!!

Yes indeed, Blue eggs!!!!!
I was told by the breeder that there was a 70% chance of getting blue/green eggs. Or they would be cream. So here's hoping!!
