Has anybody got a recipe for mulled wine, I've found loads of different ones on the internet, but I thought I'd see if there are any tried and tested ones on here  ?

I was hoping you were giving a recipe cos I was just at the same point of thinking I'd rather use one that has been reccommended.

Try this recipe i used last year:-

1 orange stuck with cloves to float
2 sliced oranges
2sliced lemons
6 tablespoons sugar or honey
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tspoon ground ginger

optional (but lovely) 2 tablespns cherry brandy
2 bottles red wine

Put all ingredients except alcohol in saucepan and bring to simmer,stirring to dissolve sugar. simmer about 15 mins. Stir in alcohol and keep warm to serve. Do not boil as this evaporates alcohol!
