Just recieved my bundle of joy

Recieved my first lot of seeds yesterday  :D   Just wondering if I've made good decisions or not seeing as it's my first time growing anything except flowers or tomatoes. This year will be a test to see if I can stick with my plot or break like a twig lol.
I'll list what I have and if anyone has any tips or ideas that'll get me good yealds etc then feel free to comment.

I have
Garlic - Solent Wight 2 complete bulbs
Mini bell peppers (mixed) for containers at home.
Tomatoes - Tigerellas (my fave) golden sunshine (my 2nd)
Carrots - Purple Haze F1, Yellowstone & Parmex also for containers at home.

I plan to get more obviously but 1 step at a time as I'm still clearing the thistles and roots from the plot.

Once again feel free to comment  :D

Cheers ears

Rhubarb - start off with a good-sized crown, which means blagging one rather than buying one! I've got three different varieties. They cook to different colours but I can't say that I've a preference even if I knew the strains.

I've got Pax guzgogs but not had any off them yet. Cheapo from Wilko.

I got Solent Wight garlic to go in too  :D   It's very, very strong     :D  :D

So, you got the seed bug then   :D

Hi, I got my first lot of seeds today and after reading what I need to do I now feel totally out of my depth!! But its so exciting to look at the seeds and wonder how you will ever get them to grow.
Got a lot of hard work before I can get to that stage, my lotty still looks like a lawn!
Ex battery hens were the perfect choice!

I've defo got the seed buying bug, it's hard to stop lol. I'm glad it's a strong Garlic as I LOVE the stuff although my friends etc may recoil in disgust lol.
I'll try and blag some rhubarb from someone at my site. Not met anyone there yet as Its empty whenever i go. I'm sure they'll come out of hibernation at some point  :D

I'm still trying to decide what spuds to go with as the mixed lot i was going to get seemed too many for me to deal with being a newbie. I want EASY & SUCCESSFUL not a lot to ask is it?

xx
