Possible problem with overwintering?
« on: December 08, 2008, 18:11 »
Prepped my pepper plants yesterday for overwintering by pruning the roots and stem.. Decided to give them one last water of the year by my method of dunking them in a bucket full of water until they are saturated. However now I am slightly concerned as the compost is obviously sodden but the plants remain dormant, just worried that this could lead to root rot?  :?

As long as they're not continuing to stand in any water now, e.g. in a saucer, the compost should dry out ok, I think.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
