Tomato Veriety - Daterino

Hi, I just got back from Italy where I bought a punnet of cherry sized, plum shaped tomatoes called 'Daterino'. The flavour was unbelievable.

Searching the web, I can find mention of them as being 'sublime', but no sourch of seed anywhere. I tried the Franchi seeds site in Italy but no good.

It seems they are normally grown in Sicily, But hey with the climate we are getting I thought I would have a go at growing some.

Does anyone know where I can get seed please?

If you have any tomoatoes left you could try seeds from one of them - dry them on a paper towel  somewhere not too hot for a few days.

They need 20C to germinate.

As long as the toms were not F1 hybrids they should come true - can't be sure it will work as I only saved seeds last year for the first time & have just planted them today - fingers crossed.
