Just leeks and sprouts but I don't feel too ashamed for my first year. Does chutney made from random end-of-the-summer-season veg smeared on the turkey sandwiches count?

No home-grown fowl, but the cat is in danger of being stuffed and served if she poos on my spring greens one more time   !
My music teacher was right. If you have to make a mistake, make it good and big and loud; with a bit of luck people will think that it was always meant to be like that.

I can't either Mrs B!

All I have is my homemade Christmas chutney.  Maybe i'll have more next year if things decide to live!

 :D

I bet that chutney will taste more special than everything else though! :D

I am just so jealous, because I cannot grow all that stuff in my little garden, so it will just be the frozen runner beans.  But I will get all the rest of the veg from the farm shop.
OH will bone our turkey (from the butcher) and we shall roll it with stuffing and sausage meat to which I shall add red cherries, wrap in bacon and tie-up.  Its so easy on Christmas day, and we have a thick slice or two, not sliced thinly.  Sorry I just cannot compete.  Mrs Bouquet

:D Ooh Mrs Bouquet the cherries in the stuffing idea sounds g o o or geous! I will have sprouts, leeks, onion, PSB and maybe a baby turnip or two .... can't wait!  :D

Oooh, reading all this is making me very hungry!!!!

We don't have much this year as it's our first - maybe some early sprouting broccoli, kale and swede, with runners, strawberries and raspberries from the freezer.

Merry Christmas everybody.

All i've got left outside is a few swedes leeks and savoy cabbages.

In the g/h few lettuces not spoiled by damp, some corn salad and claytonia, tiny spring onions and 5 healthy looking endive. So can just about manage salad to go with cold turkey!(something i always wanted to do.)
