Mistletoe
« on: November 30, 2008, 16:28 »
We bought a sprig of mistletoe today at the garden centre and was wondering if we could use the berries and try to grow it on the tree in the garden.Im sure i read once you lift a bit of bark and lay the berries in tisue inside and put the bark back.
Does anyone have advise on this please? :?

You need the right sort of tree, apple is typical, but there others.

This is the RHS advice.......

I grew some years back, long before you could find advice in the interweb. I such stuck some berries in the axils on our small apple tree - one amazed us and grew!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
