Was too wet here too :(  Whole family was really dissappointed not to be able to do "digging".

Kids and hubby have started some seeds off though, Carrots(early Nantes) and onions(bedfordshire champion) and they have got some potatoes chitting.

... that owner of the farm park on the opposite side of the river to the allotments, has had to ship his stock out elsewhere cos half his fields are flooded!

My allotment's not too bad, but I've not planted anything yet, I'm still lobbing compost all over the place and digging ...  :D

Just been down to Mrs. Digger's plot to clear some weeds - way too wet - well that's my excuse anyway. I'll sit here & watch my tomatoes germinate instead.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Rain, got muddy, sat in shed with flask. Got book wet. Went home. Went up pub. Full of Arsenal/Chelsea. Had to sit in uncomfy seats.
All because of the weather. Greenhouse still not back up.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Not looking good for tomorrow. According to the met office forecast:

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_radar.html

rain will reach Cornwall about 9.00 p.m. tonight and the whole country will be under it by 6.00 a.m. tomorrow.

Just looked at the new fruit trees I planted a couple of weeks ago - the Comice pear is under about 6 inches of water & that's after 2 days of a good drying wind.

Never mind as my neighbour says they have two chances - they can live or not!

He's 86 and has a veg garden around twice the size of a cricket pitch.

Apparantly we may get some snow flurries.  Mind you, the winters here are nothing to what they were when I was a kid - we only get snowed in for about 3 days now, instead of weeks!
