I wonder whether there's much more that can usefully be added to this topic?

Some people consider it to be a load of old tosh, some people consider there to be some experiential justification to it, and some people are willing to give it a try in the name of harmless fun.

There's no need to get critical of those who choose to adopt a different stance from oneself

Live and let live, I say. :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Mell, I took a name at random from that list and looked him up on t'internet.  Nick Kollerstrom has many books to sell on this subject, hardly an objective, scientific opinion.  Just someone out to make a fast buck.

Not random. first and most prolific on the list, and yes indeed somebody with a bias, as is anyone biased in any situation.  I'm not sure one can prove the fast buck bit however. Every single author acedemic or otherwise is out there earning a living. Acedemics are paid.

There are many references there read a selection of authors for a selection of sources, eg acedemic press, lay press , vanity press and then form an opinion, it can't be done it five mins of googling :)

That was my feeling Aunty.  Not that Mell was a troll as such, but that she/he was posting things beyond the remit of a friendly, family orientated, gardening forum.  Maybe Mell would feel more at home elsewhere.

No I'm not a troll computer generated or not, but I'm obviously not in a place that enjoys looking into possibilities in a logical manner. It is a real shame putting ones point of view across is mocked.

Why do you feel my observations are inappropriate or funny ? You stated you were not aware of studies I pointed you in the direction of such studies. Sorry but I'm at a loss to see why that is wrong ?

But I'll leave you all to it if that is the way it is here , shame after the other mods welcome only a few days ago. :(

I agree with OW, we've talked about lunar planting before, some believe in it, some don't.  I had a go last year and nothing grew at first!  So I am still sceptical, but the moon does have an effect on the tides etc, so why not plants?

But, I think I'll stick to the weather and my instincts   :D  :D

I checked this out when it first appeared earlier and was underwhelmed by what I saw.
