Hi All

Whats the best variety of cauli to grow for next year.

Heard they are quite difficult to grow so whats a good choice.

Hi Lenny,
Well I found  Latemans really succesfull this year. Sown in April, harvested in August.




I have quite small beds, and these can be grown quite close together.  :wink:  :)  :)
Life begins... On the kitchen windowsill.

Are summer ones easier to grow or are the autumn/winter ones a better choice ?

Autumn/Winter ones are better for me as I have club root. It's not (so) active over winter.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I bring all my brassicas on in 3" pots, so that they have a good root ball then they go in.

Most seem to be able to grow through it - but not cauliflowers, other than over-winter ones.

There is a club root resistant cauli it's called 'Clapton' not sure who sells it Suttons I think

I have club root on me new plot, gave a good dose of lime and grew all year round pretty well, next season my little horror ooops sorry helper has talked me into growing graffiti.
