for me my growing season is the other way round when you guys are talking in spring about the growing year i am having think sh*t summers coming and its too hot to grow much ( as i learnt this year with lots of stuff getting scorched) will try a few new methods next year to protect crops from sun ...mind you i am lucky i dont think i could be a wet weather gardener now so i shant complain ...do you grow nothing at all in winter ????

There must be some good crops you can grow in summer? what do the local farmers grow? watermellons (yummie) peppers and chilli's tomatoes etc...

We overwinter cabages and leeks and parsnips etc. and some things are in the ground now for an early start in spring but its mainly the summer that we do the growing.
If only we could teach the Slugs to only eat the Weeds, and then the Pigeons to only eat the Slugs!
