Softy eggs......

hello...

today is the first time we've had an intact softy egg - previous ones have been squished/eaten(?)

are they ok to eat?  do you treat them as you would a standard egg?  how long do you suggest I boil it for if I intend to have a hard-boiled egg for sarnies?


....by the way - collecting it made me retract my arm in horror as it was dark when I collected it from nest box - it was warm (silly chicken sleeping in box!) and grainy feeling - I thought I was feeling a chickens bottom! :s
