I grow my beetroot along the flower borders as i think the leaves are pretty and it claws a bit of space to put to use.Must admit they are golf balls but lovely all the same.
I believe in trying all sorts with growing veg and not always sticking to the rule book (not that there is one i dont think, only Johns of course which is fab!)

Do I really care digital_biscuit?  Bully for you - seems there were a lot of people on this site not too long ago crying their beetroots were the size of golf balls, and if I can't offer a bit of advice without an infantile retort, it is a sad day for everyone.

Whooooaaaa

I was only messing about and offering my advice too!
