how many times do birds have to be vaccaticated { :lol: i need a dictonary badly } .i am wandering if its worth getting mine done being ex batts i would think they have been done but i know nothing about any of this so do they have to be done yearly or what  :?:  :?:

As far as I understand it Karlooben we don't vacinate only the big mass production guys do.
I don't do mine :)
I might be wrong though :?

I'm pretty sure you never have to re vaccinate or booster

It's not really feasable to vaccinate small numbers of birds.  

To vaccinate for the full range of diseases takes from day old until the birds are about 15 weeks old.

i heard somewhere that vaccines for coccodiosis only last 12 months, my ex barns are 2 years old and not protected, don't know about other vaccines though.

Chooks are mainly at risk from coccidiosis when they are young.  They build up an age immunity to it so that by the time the vaccine's effect reduces they should have a reasonable natural immunity.

thankyou aunt sally for sorting out my mistakes my spelling is really bad at times and i did have a dictionary once but my old pup ate it for me  :lol:  :lol:  and i have not replaced it yet .
and aslo thankyou everyone for this advice and now i dont need to worry about anything , althoughh i do have babies that are now roughly 6 weeks old do u think i should  get them done to be on the safe side  :?: .

I know very little about chicks but common sense would tell me to keep hygiene good, not mix them with older birds, and feed them on chick diet with a coccidiostat in it.
