Ok, bear with me on this one !

If i dug a hole, had a wee in it, and then planted my spuds a week later, would this work as a sort of fertiliser.

Would the same thing be the case if I weed on my compost heap ?

After all, doesnt manure have a lot of urine in it .

Have a wee on your compost heap, wee is a good activator. I'm not so sure about peeing in a hole though it's probaly to strong for the spuds.

... I can't remember all the science here but peeing on the compost is a good idea because it speeds up the process of breaking down woody materials.

You can use it as a liquid feed, but it needs to be diluted and shouldn't be used on food crops.  Something to do with the ammonia burning the plants maybe??

so what's supposed to happen to your veg with all these female hormones 'cause I've not noticed anything strange about mine inspite of regularly emptying my shed bucket onto my compost or have I inadvertently caused an environment inbalance like global warming...?

ps this is my longwinded way of saying stuff and nonsense to the theory that men's pee is superior to girlie pee  :roll:

...   ... pee is pee ... male or female, the interesting bit for us gardeners is the nitrogen content.  

I cannot deny that blokes have a more efficient delivery system for the watering of compost heaps but it does pretty much depend on the location of your compost heap and the surrounding privacy ...  

You lot have made me rack my poor lil brain for my A Level Human Biology ... which just in case anyone is interested I got a grade A for ... no idea why I found it so interesting at 18 ...

ive seen it all now legendaryone thats done it for me now with this internet cant beleive someone has sat there and wracked there brains about an idea for women to pee standing up. sorry ladies but cant get to grips with this one lol

Oh now ..... I could think of times it could be useful.... Think sailing on a small boat - either it's a bucket (my preferred option with the skipper averting his eyes kindly) or if the bucket has been forgotten then it's a much more athletic exercise over the side..... :shock:  :shock:
