I have taken my solar lights out of the garden for winter.Would it help if i put them round the tubs so the seeds think its more day light or am i getting cofused with chickens needing light to lay eggs? :?

My five boxes have lots of shoots showing through.  It took ages and I lost faith at times but it looks good for now. :wink:

I guess it's about 20 oC in here, the light is LED so doesn't get hot. They'd get that sort of temperature outside in summer though wouldn't they?

I don't know what baby carrots should look like though so I can't tell if they are normal or not  :oops:

I'd say they are too warm really and don't get enough light.

Carrots are outside plants and if you think about it, they will not have those temperatures whilst germinating & getting established. Also it's not 20C all day long.

LED's cannot compete with the amount of light from the sun.

I'd try & get them acclimatised to a lower temperature, with a view to getting them hardened off & outside.
