Looking at other people pictures Im beginning to wonder how old mine really are..

I certainly think the dealer was stretching it with the term "POL" and from the problems I've had I also think they were drugged up to their eyeballs with antibiotics.

The hen with "bubbles" in her eye, is the eye swollen?

Is there also a funny (nasty) smell around her nostrils??

if yes it might be worth trying to get her either to a vet or get some more antibiotics as this can be a sign of  Mycoplasma

If Dinner is a black rock which she looks like, I'd would put a guess on at 22 weeks POL.

Breakfast looks a little younger.
You need baytril for her from the vet.

Lunch about the same as Dinner.

You will prob have to treat all of them if they are all together.

I hope she regains full health and they give you plenty of tasty eggs

I've had them 6 weeks now which means they are all about a month younger than I was led to believe.   :? The blackrock was supposed to be ready to lay once she had settled down.

No more of a nasty smell than normal, and the eye doesnt appear swollen. She also seems a lot better today - far more lively, and less sneezing. The bubbles are still there and also the occasional "snot" bubble after a sneeze.

Im feeding pellets,corn and greens plus treats like grapes,mealworms and pasta with goodly dolop of garlic and poultry spice. Id rather not keep feeding them antibiotics if I can avoid it.

That sounds promising Lardman. When the eggs do come, they'll taste all the better for it.

I remember panicking when we'd had none at 22 weeks and now we get 6 a day almost without fail (6 hens).

They shouldn't really be any nasty smell at all :?
Does she sound rattley when she breathes?
