Munty's monday meanderings, something simple for the newbies....... I'd tune in for that.
If you cant be a good example then you must  be a horrrible warning........

you should consider putting something together for the newbies it appears from reading this site we all need the same guidance and information... we all ask the same things its a brilliant place to have found and it is like finding several new friends all at once...... you maybe shy but golly you have so much knowledge to share and on this site you appear to give freely. bring on Munty Monday.

but dont ya think if  we did that the site would only get read and hardly any input . i like the informal side of things  the cameradrie is great ,the topics are brill and i enjoy everybody else talking and answering or asking questions .it may seem like i talk to much on any subject or have the info on the subject . but i can assure you i dont answer the questions on some subjects lolo, and i am wrong on some of them ..

I take your point MJ but I think the process has kinda been started with pages such as http://www.allotment-garden.org/vegetables_and_herbs/Potatoes.php    I've looked through some but not all of them.   Maybe if there was a glaringly obvious START HERE link?

And I don't reckon the cameraderie is under threat ... there will always be questions / answers / opinions to be sought.

Hell - apart from anything else, we are all hanging in here waiting to see if YOU need OUR help on anything!!!

Do a poll in off topic. Better include Shaun though cos every great man has his sidekick.

Yup, I've only been in less than a week so missed that one.

Have a think about this MJ ... you aren't going to be around for ever.  One day it'll be the muntjac putting you in the pressure cooker and not the other way round!

The forum is the basis of the best-researched gardening book/website ever.  Hundreds of contributors (questions are valuable contributions too) from all over the country as well as from overseas.

This forum is accumulating masses of priceless information in a dilute and unstructured fashion.  Its like taking gold dust, mixing it up with tons of, ahem, worthless backfill and putting it back in the ground.  The more often the same questions get asked/answered, the harder it is to find the gold dust!
