Borlotti Beans question
« on: October 08, 2008, 16:54 »
My Borlotti beans have been knobbled by the frost. I have picked them all and am shelling them but some are still light green instead of white. Will they still be ok to eat?

Thanks

Frost? The lowest we've seen - and we're not far from you was 5 celcius. Mine have just given up through old age.

I doubt that they will damage your digestive system.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

A frost finished off my butternut squash and courgettes a few nights ago.
Cheese makes everything better.

Bloomin heck - it's cold down south. My Borloti died a natural a while back though.

We had a bit of a light frost here too.

Enjoy them BD, I love shelled beans :D , they cook faster and won't store like with peas, might take a bit more cooking, depending.
