Ate the first cabbage on Sunday

Well I harvested the very first cabbage on Sunday, it wasn´t huge but sufficient for the two of us, and I had a plate full! It has to be the very best cabbage I have ever tasted- does the fact that I grew it from seed make it taste special?

The other cabbages are coming along. Provided I can keep the slugs and snails off :shock:

I'm jealous - I've still got 4 inches of snow on the ground and nearly 4 more months of frosts to contend with in Northern Scotland!

Never mind, I'll spare you a thought in early July when we are getting 17 hours a day of sunshine and you are floundering in the heat.

It is nice to hear about your cabbage though - I'll go and pour wistfully over my seed packets for a while.

Real veg that,s why it tasted so good fresh from the ground not stood around on supermarket shelves for day,s

I'm so glad you are getting your little garden up and producing Oliveview, you've waited long enough for it!!!! And yes, isn't the first one gorgeous??? mind you, subsequent ones will be good too!!!!
