I think this is a really good idea.
I was in the M supermarket the other day and was asked if I wanted the growing for schools vouchers. I said not as my 2 have left school but the lady behind me said she could use them so I got them and gave them to her!
Do you need to nominate a school to enter the competition?

Yes you have to enter full details about the school and find out some sort of reference number from the school. Have a look on the site and you will see whats needed.

I've signed the petition, and off to speak to the head teacher later on today to see if she wants to sign the school up. The school are also collecting the grow your own from M's so took a bunch in there today.
Normally i don't support corporate associations but i think growing veg and knowing where  food has come from it essential for young ones to know. Mine love growing veg, my eldest carried a pumpkin for two miles yesterday from the the allotment to home, he was so proud of himself.

I'm also a Teaching assistant in Primary - we have a lunchtime gardening club which grows flowers for tubs around the school and a few veggies. Curriculum "time" is always a problem - even more so now we have to fit in french and PSHE as separate subjects - so gardening clubs in lunch hour or after school may be a way round this.
thanks for the link i knew Ms were doing a club but had missed this one, I'll pass it on too.
