Sadly yes. Nearly lost all my leeks. They all started looking a bit tatty, then a week later they started rotting away inside and collapsing. I asked someone on the site, and they said nearly everyone's leeks had them, and apparently it happens every year. I wanted to be organic but i had to hit them with chemicals. I was advised to give them a drastic 'haircut' and spray them, then repeat a week later. It seemed to do the trick although i still lost a few. I used Bug Clear. I was very upset.

Thanks for that.  I won't spray them but have since found out that covering them in fleece may help protect them, so I'll try that next year, very upset as leeks are probably my favourite veg and I was so looking forward to them

Me too. Every book i read said leeks were easy to grow and generally pest and trouble free!
