I want to make some tomatillo chutney BUT they needed picking but are all still green. Can I still use them and does anyone have any advice?

Thankyou in advance for any ideas....and please can you be quick cos I would like to do it tonight or tomorrow please. LOL!!!   :D

Tomatillos are green. You know they are ripe when the paper lantern which covers them goes light brown. They do make a very fine chutney though.

Thankyou for that. I bought the seed when we were at the Eden project. They show them as black on the front of the pack. I have been waiting for them to go like that, but decided when the husk was full and crisping up not to wait any longer.

I'm glad I did the right thing.   :?
