crop rotation???

as this was first year of veg growing in garden was looking at crop rotation plan for next year. 3 year one shown on this site shows everything else ( to include those lovely big onions which just didnt happen this year :cry: )following on after brassicas. In a book ive got from the library it says that onion yield is reduced by 60% if grown after brassicas :scratch: As a newbie i find this all very confusing need help please :?

Dont know if mine is correct but it works for me. Bed 1 Beans, bed2 brassica, bed 3 roots and bed 4 taters. The logic is brassica follows beans to make use of the nitrogen nodules left from the beans, the roots follow brassicas coz they were heavily manure the season before and so dont need it and taters have a two year gap from the brassica bed which was limed. hope that makes sense. :?
