My spuds the ones for Christmas

Have at last reached the top of the bin, no more covering them with soil they can do what growing they like now.

Next question

In english what do I do now, and when do you know spuds are ready, if I had superman eyes I wouldnt be asking BUT I havent so spill the baked please  :lol:  :oops:

I think it would be like normally grown spuds.

Once the flowers open or drop off ,wait a couple of weeks and they should be about right.

They seem to be well advanced so If you want 'em for Christmas wouldn't you wait 'till Christmas eve and then dig 'em up and see what you've got. :lol:

They were more for the month of december LOL
but they are looking really fab hopefully they will do well, they all seem to have poked through now  :D

I planted my spuds for Christmas and went on holiday they had just started to pop through the soil in the tub.  When I came back they had gone black and died.  It looks like blight so I have given up.  Though it would have been nice to have some for Christmas day it is obviously not to be.
