Could she have hurt it jumping down off the perch??

Is there any lumps / bumps on the underneath of her foot?

Are you able to seperate her and make sure she doesn't use it too much??

Sarah :)

As Vember says really.
Harriet who was broody at the time suddenly  went lame. There was no lumps and bumps though s I assumed to start with that she had sprained it or something. Fortunately she was already in a cage with eggies so it was easy to keep her rested. I let her out after a day tho as eggie hatched and she was restless, I was really quite worried as she limped quite badly but the exercise did her good as did the rest when she was first lame.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!

Could be injury, infection or inflammation. Sorry not much I can suggest other than a vet. If it is getting worse I think that you might need to think about where you are going to draw the line and if your girls are pets or practical layers :?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

You really need to get her into a confined space so she can rest it. A cat basket or something like that for a few day will probably really help!!

If it gets better when she rests for a few days then it was just a sprain.

But if she gets worse it could be an infection requiring antibiotics.
