partner strimmer

i have been tinkling with this strimmer that was given me,and the problem is i can only get it going at about half speed,i have changed the fuel,cleaned the air filter and played with the mixture on the carb,but still no good.it starts and turns over just fine :?
any one got any ideas ?

check the throttle cable .other than that it suggests a air/fuel starvation problem to me

checked the throttle and it works ok might be inside the carb like you say,bit much for me those carbs
thats why he gave me it i thinks

try searching the carb setting on google mate

take the exhaust off and check the exhaust port. you may find that its almost closed up with carbon deposits. if this happens it will start ok, but wont go up to full throttle.

is it running on the right fuel mixture

the mix is fine cuff its 50-1

Hi Shaun will the msg system take attachments if so i can send you a document on tuning the engine. But I dont make any sense. :shock:

frankie its that deep cornish accent mate

its a B265 had a look at the exhaust like graham said thought it would take 5 minutes but you need to take the whole casing apart to get at it :evil:
will have a look at that document in the meen time though have sent you a pm with my e-mail if thats easier
