Careful lincs.... you could have quite a thing going there with sending out rooted cuttings there!!!  Is yours Bocking 14??  I'd have some if so!

Bocking is in Essex I think and is probably where this strain of comfrey was developed at the HQ of HDRA. Basically it's a well behaved variety of comfrey

Many thanks to all who replied - someone is now sending me some comfrey plants, so hopefully I'll have a patch ready for fertilizing next year's plants...

they're good and make good compost activator too.  I notice that folks near us grow them along the row where their runner beans are

I use the leaves when planting, just a bit of ripped leaf under whatever I'm planting, instant plant food
