Anyone know where I can get some seed of this potato variety?  I love them but they are SSOO expensive in the shops.

... I grew them last year.  They were great, stored well, not brilliant yields though, which apparently is always the case.  

Am planting some I've saved, so will let you know how I get on.

Perhaps the yield issue explains the cost.

Thanks for that but I am looking for accredited seed potatoes for planting.  Gotta keep these viruses under control!

Hi Brenda and welcome if you live near Leicester, my allotment shop sells them, and you don't have to be a member to use it.

And if you rae near spalding, Baytree Garden Centre sells them, but they at £4 a Kilo

Terrific forum - thanks to all who responded.  I'm a bit too far away for the shops mentioned but the eBay seller mentioned elsewhere in this forum (for Jerusalem Artichokes) has got Pink Fir Apple too.

And leeks ... what does 4000 leek seeds look like?  Anyone want to go halfs?

You can save em Brenda, if you want for years depending on how you keep your seeds, I have just germinated some heritage tomato seeds that I collected 5 years ago. I've kept them in a little air tight medicine bottle in the fridge. so far I think I've got about 75% success rate with them.

I got a bag of 10 for £1.90 from Wilkinson (their 'Cream of the Crop' posh range). Sitting in egg boxes at the moment and beginning to show signs of life.
