Cali Question

I have sowen cali for the first time last night. I have started them off in home made paper pots in the green house (thanks richyrich7 i have gone pot making crazy!!) Any advice as I have never grown them before? Do they need covering, thanks in advance!!

Full defences required. Insect proof netting, slug pellets.
