how do you eat it ( and i dont mean by putting it in your mouth )  :lol:

im thinking of growing it next year

Don't bother if you want it for eating.  There's a reason you never find it in a food shop or on a menu  :puker:

I grow it as an ornimental.  I've never eaten it though.  Maybe someone else has :D

I was given 2 plants earlier this year and they are huge now. I haven't tried eating any yet but it's got to be easier to cook and eat than globe artichoke

Cooked right, cardoons are delicious.  They taste a bit of artichoke (not surprisingly) and you can grill, braise and roast them.  You can find a few cardoon recipes
here
