I've just been looking at a milling machine  that threatens to crush or roll any cereal. The grains can be gently rolled or even turned into flour for baking bread. So what are your musts for the perfect museli ? and of course, while we are at it, which are the bits that you hate ?

I don't like muesli - so I've always thought - but I got some fab looking stuff locally but I made it like porridge, which I love. I was very surprised how much I liked it once I'd heated it up, after all I wouldn't eat cold porridge. I even have cornflakes and Weetabix with hot milk on  :D  My fave bits in it were the hazlenuts and Brazil nut chunks, oh and the plumped up sultanas :D

we make up our own muesli ,is so expensive over here so we just get oats and bran the base ingredients and can have a different type every day mostly healthy but now and again a bit of chocky gets in .

I wouldn't have any idea where to buy whole grain. But I like to have lots of fruit and nuts in mine.  Hate milk on it so I have it swimming in orange juice with a huge scoop of greek yogurt on top. Lovely :D

I like mine turned into Granola, a little butter and sugar and coconut mixed in then baked when it's cool its crunchy. Eat it with a dollop of stewed fruit and yoghurt  :)
