Help, I have this growing in beds and has now started growing in the cracks between the house wall and path. Would anyone recommend smashing it with a strimmer before using weed killer as normal spraying does not seem to help.

You could stamp on it a bit to bruise the skin of the plant it may help weedkiller penetrate, also you could add a drop or 2 of washing up liquid to help break down the waxy layer.

It has really long roots and tends to re-sprout  easily, but it does pull up easily this eventually weakens the plant so it dies.

What weedkiller did you use ?

Round up and PathClear but neither work by direct spraying
