Kitty litter in poop tray

Does anyone now of any chook related health hazards that kitty litter may have or has anyone tried it in there poop trays instead of shavings :?:

You must never use cat litter for hens as you will know the stuff swells when the cat pee is on it.

Just think what would happen to the hens when they eat it!

I would stick to shavings

Cat litter can be deadly stuff for lots of animals if eaten :shock:
