Lime
« on: September 07, 2008, 09:34 »
We have chickens that we cull for our own needs and after this next lot have been culled we want to give the land a rest.

Can anyone tell me which is the correct Lime to spread on the land.

Thanks

Hi Kim.

I think it's garden lime that you want. We have hydrated builder's lime which can be used but has a shorter term effect as I remember.

You can buy a box at any garden centre or DIY store. It's fairly cheap and goes a long way.

I've used a handful per sq. metre. and lightly forked it in.
