As a child I remember my nan collecting the used tea bags as slugs apparently dont like it if you sprinkle it on the beds.

Is this complete rubbish, I tend to stick mine in the compost bin but are they good for slugs  :D

I'm not sure about the slugs but if you bury them under your hydrangea it will love you forever :-)

My mum used real tealeaves and uncle who helped run the farm used to tell her which rosebush he wanted them on regularly. His roses won prizes. Not sure if teabags would work as well.

The few I use go on the enormous compost heap I'm building (I'm always building another enormous compost heap cos I've used the last one).

I rip open the bags and toss the works just under the soil surface. Roses do like tea leaves as well, same with banana skins.

okay so the slugs are laughing at me but hey ho it cant do the soil any harm, I always rip open the bags  :)
