I must say that this year, I planted some 8 Courgette plants and had a successful crop and still going strong, but I thought I would let one grow for a laugh and this is then end result. I have'nt injected potassium or steriods, just left it. LOL.....

Will probably cut of both ends, stuff it, roll it in foil and stick it the oven for 30 minutes.

Thanks

The jokes have been coming thick and fast from all sides.

Lets just say it will need to be washed.

Will stuff it with rice, peppers, onion etc etc.

Can't wait.

If the OH cooks it tommorow, I will post some photos.

:D   I have a huge mountain of courgettes still on the plants but I stopped cutting hoping it would slow things down  8)   I have some monsters. Hoping they might explode if I leave em long enough  :D

Still making courgette muffins and the like. I might make some more chutney with them as the last lot I made was a tad on the hot side    Sheesh  :D

Does anyone know where I can purchase cheap jars and lids as I need to make ALOT of chutney as I have eaten TOO MANY stuffed, roasted, boiled, on their own Courgettes.

Thanks

boiled courgettes is wrong  :D

They are good in omlettes. Have you tried making buns and cakes with them. Fab-u-lous

Cheap jars - you can get the cheapest of jam from Tesco etc, chuck it away and use the jar for chutters. Or ask your mates to save you all their jars, or hang around the bottle bank  :D

Good luck

We bought jars the other week from lakeland, £6 for 12 2lb jars. The annoying thing is asda sell value curry in jars for 5 pence!! we were unsure about using the curry jars as we didn't want the jam being contaminated

They sell kitchenware www.lakeland.co.uk, they are by no means the cheapest but we were desperate at the time.
