This morning one of the ducks had laid an egg in their "pond"..lid of a paddling pool.......hmmmm would the egg shell have allowed some of the dirty water to be absorbed?  have thrown the egg away, but now wondering if it would have been ok...

what is it with duck? I have never seen them actually laying an egg, but they just seem to wander randomly and lay just on the grass! sometimes they are in the "duck house", but usually just any old place.

My Calls are a bit like that you can find eggies anywhere,
it's almost as if they're so scared of missing something they don't want to stop long enough to lay in a proper place

I have an odd one in water 2, I've just binned them :?

I haven't got ducks, but I've read there eggs are very porous compared to a hens egg. So I think you did the best thing.
