so far this year I have had two small cucumbers, 4 cherry toms and a few lettuce leaves.

It s a combination of poor weather and no time. Earlier in the year I got a bit done but since mid April I have been so busy that I have had virtually no garden time at all.

Oh well there's always next year

Don't give up purplebean. We all get bad years for one reason or another. Lack of time is a huge factor for many of us. Bad weather runs a close second and the last few years have been pips. Now that you know what NOT to do, you can get it sorted for next year

Last year it pi .... rained ... for so long that my tiny lil plot was pretty much a koi pond .... nearly everything died, and my corn ( one of the few things that actually survived to grow ) ended up covered in blackflies .... at least it survived the rain ... my carrots were semi successful ... great, I don't like carrots, and the slugs got the beetroot ... no loss, I'm not a beetroot fan either .... but my leeks were great

I won't tell you how well it's all going this year compared to then, because I don't want to depress you :roll:
