OK, I admit it, paranoia setting in, herons don't snatch hens, but this one landing in the backfield certainly spooked our Conny.  
The result:  We got 4 eggs yesterday! (of only 3 hens)!!  You'd think the scare would have put them off laying, but no, gone into overdrive instead. Can't eat them fast enough..........  How many eggs should you really be eating in a week anyway?

Check out the above link but basically aslong as you are eating a healthy well balanced diet there isn't really any need to restrict the amount of eggs you eat.  I love them and have always eaten masses and I dont have a problem with cholestrol.
