Cardboard tubes
« on: August 21, 2008, 07:55 »
In our business we use loads of kitchen roll, so I have collected a large amount of the cardboard tubes.
I don't want to shred them onto the compost heap, so has anybody got any suggestions (not rude - as if you would!) as to what I can do with them.
I have seen an idea to put them round leeks for whitening, or I thought of cutting them into 3and using them as small pots.
Any other bright ideas welcomed.
I started out with nothing.....and I've still got most of it.

I use loo rolls for germinating my seeds, those which like a long root run. Broad beans, sweetcorn, sweet peas, runner beans and french beans etc
They can go a bit mouldy if you over water them but no matter.  You just then plant the whole thing
