Hi all. This year I celebrated my new greenhouse with tomatoes. I bought some "Millefleur" yellow contiflor tomatoes from the Real Seed catalogue (http://www.realseeds.co.uk/centitomatoes.html). I have planted 4 vines and since the end of July have been taking between 300 and 400g of cheeryyellow cherry-sized fruit off them every day, and there's no end in sight   .

This seems like a very productive tomato to me. But then I haven't grown any tomatoes before, as all my outdoor ones last year were blighted overnight. So 3 questions for all you tomatophiles out there:

* Is this indeed a good yield? Are there other types of littletom that would do as well?

* They are quite sweet, but I would say the flavour wasn't a patch on the Gardener's Delight I also have coming on. Which is your top tomato for rich, tangy sweetness?

* I'd love to grow some smallish plum toms next year - any recommendations?

Thanks all. I'm off to make another batch of sun dried tomatoes!

Gardener's Delight is available here but I don't grow it. My favourite sweet cherry tomato is Sweet 100 (V1); not sure if it's available in the UK. And yes, the yield is about right for these vining cherry types.

San Marzano is a good small plum tom, and Romas are prety good too.

Last year I grew, amongst others sungold tomatoes.  Very small and sweet, lovely.  I also grew San Marzano as Trillium mentioned.  Mine were great tasting but not exactly beautiful to look at.  Perfect for sauces.

This year my favourite small tomato is Black Cherry.  It is a small tomato with great flavour.  It has a dark colour and looks as if it should be poisonous but I will definately grow it next year.
Cheese makes everything better.
