I'm wrong i know but i'm saying it anyway, its looks the unripe pumpkin thing  that i found amongst the weeds at the allotment on Tuesday.

I'm sorry, I'm sure its not a melon, just look at the flower near it. It's a courgette flower, melon flowers are tiny little things similar to cucumbers.

That courgette is exactly like the ones I got from Seeds of Italy.  Bit like this one?

Hmmm...

Looks like it could be a round green courgette like those sold by Seeds of Italy - yet I saw similar things in my mum's garden and she grows a type of spaghetti squash.  They can grow huge like the size of a bowling ball and they're heavy.  She likes them when they are large as the skin forms a tough layer which makes it suitable for storage and eating throughout the winter.

The flesh is white and made up of strands and the seeds are large flat and black.

Courgette seeds as I recall are creamy white in colour.  What were the seeds like?

well i cut a small one and cooked it dont really have that courgette taste

and it has 100's of seeds in it i now have one very small will let you know

yep you sure do!  i bought one from a house down the road the other day. but mine was a lot flatter rather than perfectly spherical.

i slice the bottom off and add a topping as it is too flat to stuff,  then another night i'll do the same with top which then leaves a ring in the middle to use as a side veg on a 3rd occasion!
