Hope I'm allowed to mention the store....
They have kits in my local w's at 25 p which contain a mini propogator, compost and seeds - Boltardy beetroot & leek, Roma tomatoes and basil; and poppies and nasturiums ( not strictly veggies i know, but you can eat the nasturtium flowers or seed pods) Not sure how many will germinate next year, but at 25p...... :D

Woolies sell Mr. Fothergills the same as we do.  They are changing their packaging next year and the packets will hang from hooks rather than sit in pockets like they do now.  Fothergills sent us a letter saying that all seeds returned this year will only be credited on 40% so we will be making a loss on them.  We told them to stuff it and we would not be doing seeds next year.  (They have now changed their minds and we will get a full refund).  Perhaps with the amount Woolies would be returning they have decided to offer them cheap and try and cut their losses.

Thanks for that! I went and got one that has basil, chives and coriander. Think it's too late to plant them on our balcony?

Went to our local Wilkies today where they were selling seeds off at 10p a packet, all with 2010 planting dates.  Spent all of £1.50 and now have enough seeds for most of the plot for next year :D
