I've been reading a few articles on here and other sites regarding companion planting. I will be growing the following in between my plants to help deter insects:

Calendula
Nasturtium
Marigolds
Poached Egg Plant
Borage
Garlic

I cant remember off the top of my head which plant works for which insect - or which plant to companion with - perhaps someone knows? I'm sure the Borage goes with Runner Beans.
