grass seed - any reccommendations?

I'm looking to grass over approximately 150 m2 of my allotment for chickens. Obviously I want it to be hard wearing, any recs please?

Haven't a clue, but I'll be looking hard at this thread because of the destruction my chickens have done to the grass in my run... I'd like to cover that with hard wearing grass.

its best to buy a seed with RYE GRASS very hard wearing , your chickens will not dig it up when scratting around

Astroturf is best for chooks, you can pick it up and wash the poo off!!!!!    :D  :D

Sorry Ruth, that was supposed to be funny!  I've got a stupid sense of humour!  I suppose you could use it, but as its plastic, the chooks won't be able to eat it and it may be a bit rough under their feet!   :lol:  :lol:
