Just been to visit my girls and one has laid it's first egg!

I've had my hens about a 3/4 weeks I bought them as pullets, but have taken longer than anticipated to start laying. Very pleased today though.

I'm going to give them some grit (So I have been adviced) the have pecked everything out of the ground... I prefer greens to their pellets.

I assume you mean the grit mix? It's the oystershell you'll need if there is any calcium deficiency.
