The one thing I really wanted to grow this year was sweetcorn - it was my first year though and time got the better of me..... my local garden centre though is selling sweetcron plants that are about a foot high - will these still be okay for planting out??  As in will they have enough time to grow and produce a crop?  Thanks!

I think it depends on the weather, but could be worth a try.  With all the rain last year I saw people putting theirs out really late, not sure what they got from it mind.  Ours went out quite late this year and is only about 2' tall now so I'd give it a go.
