Spaghetti Squash

Yippee.....last year none of our squashes did anything, this year one germinated.  We now have about 15 little yellow squashes forming.

Does anyone know when we should harvest them?  What size they should be and so on?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I was told to tap them and if they sounded hollow they were ready to eat.
I ate one a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely. It was about the size of a honeydew melon.
I have about 20 more large ones on my 5 plants!!

There are three signs of old age. The first is your loss of memory, the other two I forget.

Most spaghetti squashes ripen around September, depending on when it was planted. The rind should be yellow, hard and shiny. If picked too soon, the insides are too mushy to eat.

Size depends on your growing conditions. When cutting, leave 2" of stem on the squash which allows the squash to sit on a cool shelf for a while if not needed immediately.
